Helpdesk Associate

Pure Group Services are a highly successful SME based in Milton Keynes, with over 23 years’ experience serving local businesses and residents with air conditioning, plumbing and heating and minor building work’s needs.

We are looking for a proactive planner with great communication skills to come and join our busy and growing team.

You will have daily contact with clients and our team of Plumbing and Heating engineers and will always be looking ahead to ensure we are working as efficiently as possible and delighting our customers.

The opportunity:

- You will be based in our Milton Keynes Head Office (solely office-based role)

- You will be the primary point of contact for anyone contacting our company, whether existing customers or new sales enquiries,

- You will communicate regularly with our team of Engineers; creating and sending job sheets, ordering parts and ensuring they have the required parts and information to undertake their tasks.

You will plan our engineers activities, ensuring the right engineers are sent to each job type and the route plans are efficient

- You will need to be polite and confident on the phone

- You will raise purchase orders and collate quotations based on details provided by engineers,

- You will manage activities through our CRM database and undertake various other administrative duties to support the team

The ideal candidate will have:

- Excellent Communication skills, both written and verbal, and a professional, warm telephone manner

- A focus on exceptional customer service

- A desire to work in a busy environment where plans can regularly change to meet the needs of our customers

- The ability to build great relationships with our Engineers and to develop an understanding of some of the technical components for our business

- Brilliant attention to detail

- Flexibility and an ability to multi-task and prioritize a busy workload

- A willingness and ability to learn new processes quickly and carefully and suggest process improvements to ensure efficiency and effective working

- Previous administrative / office experience, particularly with Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word and Excel and ideally in a relevant area

Air Conditioning Breakdown Engineer

Pure Group are a highly successful SME serving local businesses and residents with air conditioning, plumbing and heating and minor building works. We have more than 30 staff and are growing to meet the needs of our expanding customer base.

We are recruiting for a A/C Breakdown Engineer to join our team. You will already have air conditioning experience, whether in installation or maintenance and have accrued two years of fault-finding experience working on breakdowns of single split systems. You will be looking to develop your breakdown experience on more complex systems with the aim to become a senior breakdown engineer.

We are looking for an engineer who enjoys resolving issues and fixing systems for our clients to ensure their businesses/ properties keep running as required.  In this role you will work alongside our team of AC Engineers; sharing your knowledge and learning from them in return.

We would invest in VRF/VRV Manufacturer training to ensure you have the right qualifications and support structure behind you as well as other training programmes as relevant.

What we are looking for:

  • An Air Conditioning Engineer with at least 2 years of fault finding and breakdown experience
  • You will be tenacious, and methodical in approach
  • You will be comfortable working autonomously and using your initiative and you will know when to seek support from manufacturers or your network.
  • You will enjoy supporting junior members of the team in their development with technical support
  • You will have excellent communication skills and able to translate technical issues and problems in an easy-to-understand way.

The role:

  • In this role, we are committed to support ongoing development in fault finding and repair through manufacturer training and other courses.
  • The role will consist of managing a variety of breakdown jobs for both Commercial and Domestic systems (from single splits, multi splits, VRF’s to ventilation and AHU’s)
  • This is a physical role, requiring out-of-hours on call cover (rota) and flexibility to work overtime during busy periods. It also includes early starts, commuting and lone working.

Qualifications

Essential:

  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning
  • F-Gas CAT 1 or equivalent
  • 2 years A/C fault finding experience
  • Full UK Driving License

Desirable

  • CSCS Card
  • PASMA
  • IPAF
  • Harness Training
  • Varied refrigeration experience (chillers etc..)

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: Up to £38,000.00 per year

You will already have air conditioning experience, whether in installation or maintenance and servicing and will be looking to build your expertise as a best-in-class maintenance engineer and develop your understanding and capability in fault-finding and breakdowns.

  • An Air Conditioning Maintenance Engineer with strong maintenance/ servicing experience and some experience fault finding
  • You will be tenacious, and methodical in approach
  • You will be comfortable working autonomously and using your initiative, but will know when to seek support from the team or manufacturers as needed
  • You will have excellent communication skills and able to translate technical issues and problems in an easy-to-understand way.

The role:

  • The role will consist of undertaking a variety of routine maintenance and breakdown jobs for both Commercial and Domestic systems (from single splits, multi splits, VRF’s to ventilation and AHU’s) in Milton Keynes and within a 75 mile radius.
  • This is a physical role, requiring out-of-hours on call cover (rota) and flexibility to work overtime during busy periods. It also includes early starts, commuting and lone working.

Qualifications

Essential:

  • Full UK Driving License

Desirable

  • NVQ Level 2 or Equivalent in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning

Qualifications and Experience

Ideally an air conditioning engineer would have a few years of experience within the industry when applying. Therefore we would also expect an applicant to have the relevant qualifications if applying for an installation role. A full driving licence is also required when applying. However, as a young person looking to join this ever growing sector, we know that such a level of experience (and owning a car) is not always possible!
